Since setting up her own consultancy, in 1998, Olive has delivered training that makes an impact all over the world. OSR creates bespoke solutions for any size of business, delivers cost-effective open programmes and provides specialist advice for companies that do not have a dedicated in-house HR resource. In the last 13 years, Olive has grown the business by creating and building an enviable contact database and is respected by her peers and clients for her dedication to quality, service and refreshing training style.

Prior to branching out on her own, Olive gathered a wealth of experience working for some of the UK’s biggest names in training and recruitment. She worked for Video Arts as regional manager, as a permanent recruitment manager for Blue Arrow, as well as holding management positions for Premiere Recruitment and Reed Employment.

Olive’s passion for personal development means that she is continually expanding her own skills. An expert in emotional intelligence, she is one of the few practitioners in the UK licensed to teach the FISH! Philosophy, an approach to team building and relationships, and TetraMap, a training tool developed in New Zealand. Olive is an active member of the business community, and has been particularly supportive of other BME entrepreneurs. She has acted as a mentor to other business women and is a regular speaker at networking events.

In June 2011, Olive became the vice-chair of the Manchester branch of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), the largest branch outside of London. She is also a Fellow of the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management. Previously, Olive was vice-chair of North West Regional Development Agency’s Ethnic Minority Business Forum (EMBF).
